Whether you're wrangling toddlers who’d rather be playing tag, trying to convince your high school senior that this isn’t just for Mom, or easing the nerves of a couple who’s never taken professional photos together, I get it. Feeling a little awkward is totally normal.

But here’s the thing: my job isn’t just to take photos, it's to create an experience that makes you feel relaxed, confident, and genuinely YOU.

When we meet for your session, we’ll start off with some easy poses. We won’t dive straight into the deep end. Instead, I’ll guide you with fun prompts, little games, and lighthearted directions that make the whole thing feel more like a hangout than a photo shoot. One of the biggest compliments I get from clients is:

“That was actually... fun?”

Yep! Mission accomplished.

For the Shy at Heart (Hello, Seniors!)

Senior portraits can feel intimidating especially for those who aren’t used to being the center of attention. That’s why I focus on creating a space that feels personal and pressure free. We’ll chat, we’ll laugh, and we’ll find those natural, relaxed moments.

And don’t worry I’ve got all the posing covered. You don’t need to know what to do with your hands or how to smile a certain way. I’ve got tricks for that, and they’re all designed to bring out your most confident, comfortable self​.

For the Little Ones with Big Energy

Kids are wonderfully unpredictable and I love that! The goal with little ones is never perfection. I bring along fun prompts, playful games, and sometimes even mini marshmallows (my not so secret weapon). If that means letting them twirl in the grass or chase mom and dad for a few shots? Perfect. That’s when the real smiles happen​.

For the “We’re Not Really Picture People” Couples

Hey lovebirds I see you. Maybe you’ve never had professional photos done, or you’re worried it’ll feel posed or cheesy. I promise that’s not how I roll.

Your session will feel more like a relaxed date night with a third wheel who just happens to be holding a camera. I’ll give you as much direction as you need. Whether you want to be guided every step of the way or just need a few gentle prompts to get started. You’ll never feel stiff or unsure; I’ll be right there making sure you look and feel your best.

We’ll capture the perfect blend of posed and candid photos. The sweet smiles, the in between giggles, and those quiet, meaningful moments that make your relationship yours. Want to play your favorite playlist during the session? Yes please. I’ve even had couples dance to their song mid-session. It's those moments that tell your story.
