There’s something so special about getting to meet couples again to create more memories together and this session was exactly that.
I had the honor of capturing Eli & Kinsley's proposal so getting to reunite for their engagement session felt extra meaningful. It was relaxed, intentional, and full of genuine connection from start to finish.
We kicked things off in downtown Beaufort, walking along the waterfront and exploring the streets and docks. Beaufort is one of my favorite spots because it gives you that perfect mix of coastal views and small town vibes. Boats drifting by, historic homes, quiet sidewalks, and soft light bouncing off the water.
From there, we made our way to Atlantic Beach to finish the session with sunset portraits by the ocean. The beach brought a totally different vibe. Open skies, soft waves, and that dreamy golden hour glow that never disappoints.
This combo gives couples so much variety in their gallery without feeling rushed.
They started the session in more formal outfits for Beaufort with polished, timeless looks that matched the waterfront setting beautifully. For the beach, they changed into something more casual and cozy, which was perfect for barefoot walks in the sand.
I always love when couples incorporate an outfit change. It adds variety to your gallery and allows you to show more of your personality through your outfit choices.
Beyond the beautiful locations, this session was especially meaningful because I had already photographed their proposal. Getting to reconnect and continue telling their story through their engagement photos made it feel less like a photoshoot and more like catching up with friends.
There’s something really special about creating art together again after such a big moment in their lives.
My approach is always connection first.
I guide when needed, but I focus on letting couples move, laugh, and just be together. No stiff posing, just real moments, natural interaction, and photos that actually feel like you. This session was all about their connection, and everything else flowed naturally from there.
