A Non-Traditional Family Session

This family session was different in the best way! When Lisa reached out to me wanting to capture their family photos, she was debating which package she wanted to go with. I said 30 minutes would be enough for the traditional photos. With an hour, we could get more candid shots. She decided to go with the hour session, and it was worth it!
As we were walking out to the beach with toys, a soccer ball, a kite, and their dog leading the way, I knew it was going to be a great session!
We started off with the traditional photos, and once we were happy with them, we broke out the sand toys!
This session is a great example of why I say let your kids be kids during the session! All the fun candids we were able to capture are going to be images that this family looks back on and smiles at!
We had dance parties, played tag, built sandcastles, and captured so many laughs!
The photos speak for themselves!
When planning your next family session, consider bringing some toys. Or, use something meaningful to your family! This could even look like going to an ice cream shop as your second location of the session to capture your kids' joy at the stage of life they are in!
If your family has a weekly pizza night, let’s order a pizza and bring it out at the end of your session and have a picnic on the beach!
Family photos can be fun!
We can capture all the traditional photos, but then let’s have some fun and make some memories with your kids!
At least consider it!!
